Brussels, 06/07/2016 – The organisers of the Born Digital Wine Awards brought to you by Wine in Moderation are happy to announce that the entry deadline will be extended to the 18th of July, 2016.
In order to give time to new audiences to take part, the BDWAbyWIM will be extending the closing deadline for entries from 7th July to 18th July, 2016.
For this edition, the BDWAbyWIM will also be looking at further increasing the impact of the awards worldwide by building partnerships. Partnerships are a core value of Wine in Moderation and of the awards and it is now more important than ever to find positive ways to foster cooperation and understanding between people. Several members and partners of Wine in Moderation have therefore joined the party and will be promoting the awards in their respective countries. Federacion Espanola de Vinos, Bodegas de Argentina, Unione Italiana Vini and Vin et Société, but also the Professional Association Partners, FIJEV, the International Federation of Wine and Spirit Journalists and Writers, have come aboard and more will be announced soon.
These awards were launched to bring the wine community from across the world together. Wine is enjoyed all across the globe. It has been made to be shared, and has formed an integral part of rituals, ceremonies and social occasions, for millennia. While wine may not be the most pressing topic on the minds of people around the world at this moment, it is something that we share a love for, and can act as a bridge between people.
The Born Digital Wine Awards were originally launched in 2011 to focus the wine trade’s attention on the range and quality of wine-related content being published online across the world in different languages. The 2015 edition brought to you by Wine in Moderation, received over 200 submissions from 19 countries, and had 30 shortlisted entries from the US, UK, New Zealand, France, Spain and Greece.
We raise a glass to friends, and to greater understanding.
